# Exporting a Project

You can create a project in QGIS from local files or other data sources and export it to JMap Cloud.

1. To export a project, click **Web → JMap Cloud → Export project** to open the export interface. The interface is used to export the currently displayed project.
2. Enter a name for the project that will be created in JMap Cloud.
3. Click **Export project**. The export progress is displayed.
4. You can cancel the process by clicking **Cancel**.

When the project is created in JMap Cloud, all data layers, styles, layer structure, and popup configurations are replicated in JMap Cloud.

{% hint style="info" %}
If an error occurs during the export of a data layer, that layer is skipped and the project export continues. An error message will be displayed. You can view the errors in the QGIS message log.
