# Exporting a QGIS Layer to JMap Cloud

You can create and configure a layer in QGIS and export it to a project in JMap Cloud. The layer is exported with its data and configurations (styles, labels, popups, etc.).

1. To export a layer, right-click the layer's context menu and click **Export → Export to JMap Cloud** to open the export interface.<br>

2. Select the JMap Cloud project to export the layer into.
3. Indicate whether the export creates a new layer or replaces an existing layer.
4. If you want to replace an existing layer, select it. A prompt asks you to confirm this choice.
5. Click **Export**. The export progress is displayed. If there are errors during the export, they are shown in the interface.
6. You can cancel the process by clicking **Cancel**.

The data source is created in JMap Cloud and the layer is created or replaces a layer in the indicated project.
