# Layer Properties

This section allows you to configure the layer properties, through the following parameters:

Level 0 corresponds to the entire planet (maximum zoom out), while level 23 corresponds to the closest zoom to a point on the map (maximum zoom in).<br>Restricting the visibility range of some layers improves application performance and map readability.</td></tr><tr><td>Rotation</td><td><strong>Point features only</strong>.<br>Check this setting to rotate the layer's elements based on a quantitative attribute.<br>You must select the attribute and the rotation direction (clockwise or counterclockwise).</td></tr><tr><td>Generalization level</td><td><p><strong>Vector data sources only</strong>.</p><p>Select a generalization level.<br>Generalization is the simplification and adaptation of the layer's content to make the map more readable and the application more efficient, with an acceptable loss of precision depending on the map's objectives.<br>Four options are available: None, Low, Medium, and High.<br>The default option is High.</p></td></tr><tr><td>Enable editing tools</td><td><strong>Vector data sources only</strong>.<br>Check this setting to provide layer data editing tools to application users with the necessary permissions.<br>If this option is enabled, the layer data is automatically served as GeoJSON and is no longer cached.</td></tr><tr><td>Attributes</td><td><p><strong>Vector data sources onl</strong>y.<br>This section displays the list of layer attributes.<br>The attributes are listed in alphabetical order.<br>Name, title, and type (double, integer, varchar, date) are displayed for each attribute.<br>When you check an attribute, it becomes visible to users and available for use in styles, labels, and popups. It is moved to the top of the list. <br>When you uncheck it, the attribute is no longer available for configuring styles, labels, or popups and returns to its original position in the list.<br>You can edit the title of each attribute:</p><ol><li>Check the attribute you want to edit. The attribute is moved to the top of the list, and the Title field becomes editable.</li><li>Enter the title and accept the change.</li></ol></td></tr><tr><td>Layer</td><td><strong>WMS/WMTS services only</strong>.<br>Select the WMS/WMTS service layers that are used for the map layer.</td></tr><tr><td>Style</td><td><strong>WMS/WMTS services only</strong>.<br>Select the layer style.</td></tr><tr><td>Image format</td><td><strong>Raster data sources only</strong>.<br>Select the image format used for the layer. </td></tr></tbody></table>
