Parameter	Description
Listed	Use the toggle to define whether the layer should appear in the Layers panel of the JMap NG application.
Name	The layer name. You can edit it.
Description	You can add a description for the layer.
Source	Indicates the layer's data source. Click it to open the data source description interface.
Zoom levels	Select a zoom level range within which the layer is visible. 24 zoom levels are available. Level 0 corresponds to the entire planet (maximum zoom out), while level 23 corresponds to maximum zoom in on a point of the map. Restricting the visibility range of certain layers improves application performance and map readability.
Rotation	Point features only. Check this parameter to apply rotation to layer features based on a quantitative attribute. You must select the attribute and the direction of rotation: clockwise or counterclockwise.
Generalization level	Vector data sources only. Select a generalization level. Generalization is the simplification and adaptation of layer content to make the map more readable and the application more performant, with an acceptable loss of precision relative to the map's objectives. Four options are available: None, Low, Medium, and High. The default option is High.
Enable editing tools	Vector data sources only. Check this parameter to offer data editing tools to JMap NG users who have the necessary editing permissions. When this option is enabled, layer data is automatically served in GeoJSON and is no longer cached.
Attributes	Vector data sources only. This section lists the layer's attributes in alphabetical order. Name, title, and type (double, integer, varchar, date) are displayed for each attribute. When you check an attribute, it becomes visible to users and available for use in styles, labels, and tooltips - it is moved to the top of the list. When you uncheck it, the attribute is no longer available for configuring styles, labels, or tooltips and returns to its position in the list. The attribute title is important because it is presented to JMap NG users. To edit it: 1. Check the attribute. It is placed at the top of the list and the Title field becomes editable. Enter the title and confirm the change.

## WMS/WMTS-specific Properties

Parameter	Description
Layer / Image format	Select the image format used for the layer.
Layer / Select layers	Lists the layers returned by the service that support EPSG:3857. For WMS services, you can select multiple layers. For WMTS services, you can select only one layer.
Layer / Select layers / Style	When a layer is selected, the available styles for that layer are displayed. The first selected style is the default style. You can select only one style per layer. You can have as many WMS layers as styles, and one WMTS layer with one style.
Layer / Select layers / Tooltip	A tooltip icon appears for certain WMS/WMTS layers to indicate that information from the getFeatureInfo request can be displayed in a tooltip. If the formatted version (text/html only — text/xml is not supported) is available in the WMS/WMTS service, the tooltip content is displayed with formatting. Otherwise, it is displayed without formatting. When there are errors in the request to the WMS/WMTS service, a message indicates that the information is unavailable. To enable tooltips for JMap NG users, you must activate tooltips in the layer's Tooltip section. You do not need to configure them — just activate them.

## Language The language button

allows you to select available languages to provide information in each language. {% hint style="warning" %} Configurations made in one language are only displayed in that language in JMap NG applications. If you do not provide content in a language, nothing is displayed in Studio or in JMap NG applications when the interface is set to that language. {% endhint %}
