# Creating Data Sources

You can create data sources (DS) from five types of support:

* Vector or raster data files: Various formats are supported (SHP, CSV, GML, GeoJSON, FileGeoDB, GeoPackage, DWG, TAB, GeoTIFF)
* Non-spatial tabular data files
* WMS/WMTS services
* Vector tile services
* Feature services

The **Data sources** tab allows you to create and manage the data sources you will use in your projects.

This section displays a table listing the data sources you own, as well as those you have permission to access. For more details on access and resource management, see the [Permissions](https://docs.jmapcloud.io/en/jmap-cloud-portal/user-guide-for-jmap-cloud-portal/connecting-data-data-sources/managing-data-sources/permissions) section.

Each data source appears as a row in the table. The columns provide the following information:

* **Name** of the data source
* **Source type**
* **Status**
* **CRS** (Coordinate Reference System)
* **Number of features** (for vector and tabular data sources)
* **Tags**
* **Last modified date**
