# Creating Data Sources

You can create data sources (DS) from five types of input:

* Vector or raster data files: several formats are supported (SHP, CSV, GML, GeoJSON, FileGeoDB, GeoPackage, DWG, TAB, GeoTIFF, ECW, JPEG2000).
* Non-spatial tabular data files (CSV).
* WMS/WMTS services.
* Custom spatial data sources.
* Vector tile services.
* Feature services.

To create a new spatial data source, click the **Create Data Source** button. A dropdown menu allows you to select the source type. The subsequent steps vary depending on the type selected.
