# Deleting a Data Source

To delete a data source:

1. Select the **Delete** function from the DS contextual menu.
2. A message appears specifying the project layers and tables that use this data source. It asks you to confirm your decision.
3. Click **OK** to confirm the deletion.

{% hint style="info" %}
The data file that originated the DS is not deleted. It remains accessible in the **Uploaded Files** tab for a period of **10 days**, after which it is automatically deleted from JMap Cloud.
{% endhint %}

You can also select multiple data sources and, following the same procedure, delete the entire selection.
