# Open in JMap NG

You can open a project in the **JMap NG** application to explore its content and fine-tune its configuration before making it available to end users.

To do so:

1. Click the <img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/9n1KCuTyIKwSpZcPcC6l/blobs/8m4xvrMS418SV0cyQWNm/menu.png" alt="" data-size="line"> menu icon, then select **Open in JMap NG**.\
   The JMap NG application will open in a new tab, displaying the selected project.
2. Log in using your **JMap Cloud Portal** credentials.
3. Navigate through the map and explore the available features.

   JMap NG is the map application used by users with the **Viewer** role to access shared projects. For more details, refer to the [JMap NG User Guide](https://docs.jmapcloud.io/en/jmap-ng/jmap-ng-user-guide).
4. To close the application, click the <img src="https://3291879974-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9n1KCuTyIKwSpZcPcC6l%2Fuploads%2F8O6nIHrLf0jkHwX0p7vO%2Fuser.png?alt=media&#x26;token=8a901b31-d51a-4ee0-ab63-4edb0389d5c6" alt="" data-size="line"> icon and select **Log out**.
