# Geographic Extent

To display the geographic extent of a layer, even if it is not visible on the map:

1. Click <img src="/files/UQSNxytLDFikTQ9e2a9R" alt="" data-size="line"> then <img src="/files/Rwd8MdcfKsc77tJVpBE9" alt="" data-size="line"> **Show layer extent**. The map automatically displays the corresponding territory. A rectangle delimiting the extent appears briefly.
2. Click <img src="/files/LSvmufAfuUtpniI68CZK" alt="" data-size="line"> to return to the previous geographic extent.
