Creating Data Sources

You can create data sources (DS) from five types of data sources:

  • Vector or raster spatial data files: different formats are supported (SHP, CSV, GML, GeoJSON, FileGeoDB, GeoPackage, DWG, Tab, GeoTIFF).

  • Tabular non-spatial data files

  • WMS/WMTS Services

  • Vector Tiling Services

  • Feature Services

The Data sources tab contains functions for creating and managing data sources that you will use in your projects.

This section presents a table of the DS of which you are the owner and the DS for which you have access permissions. See the section for details on access and management of resources.

Each data source is a row in the table, and the columns show their attributes: source name, SD type, status, CRS (coordinate reference system, spatial data sources only), number of elements of the SD (in the case of vector and tabular SDs), labels, and last modification date.

Creating a data source

To create a DS click on Create a data source. The drop-down menu allows you to select the source type: Vector/Raster data File, Tabular data file (non spatial), WMS/WMTS Service, Vector Tile Service, Feature Service.

The following steps depend on the type of data source.
