Displaying Information for a DS

To display information for a DS:

  1. Click on the menu and select Display information. The information interface is composed of two tabs: Information and Attributes.

Information

The Information tab displays: the DS name, description, references (projects with layers and/or tables that use the DS data), and labels.

Spatial DS (SDS) display a navigable map. The dotted box indicates the extent of the data source, and the base map comes from . The SDS features are gradually loaded onto the map up to a maximum of 50,000 features. When the maximum number is reached, the remaining features are not loaded. Digital elevation models (DEMs) from geoTIFF files are displayed in shades of gray.

SDS also display the DS Id (click on to copy it to the clipboard), the unique identifier in JMap Cloud, the cartographic reference system (CRS), and the number of elements in the DS.

Tabular DS display a table that shows the data and is navigable. The number of rows loaded in the table is indicated. They also display the total number of rows (records) in the table.

Attributes

The Attributes tab displays the DS's attribute or fields list. You can navigate this list, and for each attribute/field, the interface displays three sections: Parameters, Statistics, and Value domains.

The Parameters section displays the attribute/field title, type, and the Indexed box.

The Statistics section displays statistics on the attribute/field values. These depend on the attribute type.

The Value domain section displays the attribute's value domain (text or quantitative) and allows you to create one if it doesn't exist.

Editing Parameter Values

You can modify some parameters:

  1. Also, if you have edit permissions, you can edit attribute/field titles, index them (by checking the box Indexed), and create, modify, or delete a value domain for text or quantitative attributes.

Only indexed attributes can be used in simple searches (searching for elements in a project's layers based on attribute values) in the NG application.

If you have edit permissions for the DS, when you hover over the Description, Labels, and Unique identifier (SDS) parameters, the icon appears, allowing you to edit the parameter.

Press or to save or discard changes.
